Asia Pacific Motorsport Championship

One of the Asia-Pacific region’s leading motor sport events returns next month to the scenic surroundings of Sri Lanka. The Asia Pacific Motorsport Championship, which places cost-minimisation and accessibility at the heart of the event, is set to further promote and support the growth of inclusive grassroots motor sport across the region.

Over 100 drivers from 25 countries will compete in the three-day event across karting, auto gymkhana, cross car autocross and esports disciplines. With drivers aged 8 eligible to enter, the event will also provide a springboard for the next generation of Asia Pacific drivers.

Building on the successful inaugural Asia Pacific Motorsport Championship held in Malaysia in 2023, the second edition in Sri Lanka will further strengthen the region’s position as a growing hub of global motor sport.

Organised by the Ceylon Motor Sports Club (CMSC) and hosted at the Sri Lanka Karting Circuit in Bandaragama, entries remain open for all categories until 15 September 2025. Any ASN within the Asia Pacific Region may nominate drivers to take part in the championship which is set to bring together clubs and drivers from across the Asia Pacific in a competitive celebration of the region’s racing talent.

Sam Heenkenda, President of the Ceylon Motor Sports Club, said:

“I look forward to welcoming competitors from across the Asia Pacific to Sri Lanka next month for the Asia Pacific Motorsport Championship. The event is set to unite our region and provide a platform for the up and coming driving stars of tomorrow. I encourage ASN’s to nominate drivers before the entry deadline and join us in this celebration of our region’s motor sport culture”
