FIA European Baja Cup

SEASON 2026

FIA European Baja Cup

The FIA European Baja Cup reverts to an eight-round format in 2026 with competitors able to choose six counting events. This should increase the popularity of the series, cut costs and enable competitors to pick and choose their programme for the season.

The Iberian Peninsula hosts four of the Bajas with Greece, Italy, Hungary and Poland completing the calendar.

Action gets underway with Spain’s Baja TT Cuenca on May 7th-9th. Turkey’s Baja Troia is no longer in the calendar, so Baja Greece will then double up as a round of both the FIA World and European Baja Cups on June 4th-7th.

Likewise, the Italian Baja will host both championships on the earlier date of June 25th-28th. The Teruel-based Baja Spain Aragón will also be a counting round of both Baja series on July 23rd-26th, although competitors can only register and score points in one of the Cups.

The Hungarian Baja retains its traditional August (13th-15th) slot in the calendar and precedes the Szczecin-based Baja Poland on August 27th-30th.

Portugal will then host the final two rounds of the series: Baja TT Sharish Reguengos Mourão will run on September 18th-20th and the rebranded BP Ultimate Baja de Portalegre will wrap up the European calendar on the earlier date of October 15th-18th.

A competitor must designate the maximum of six Bajas on which he wishes to score points.

Titles are awarded to overall Drivers, Navigators and Teams, Ultimate Drivers and Navigators, Challenger, SSV and Stock Drivers and Navigators and Junior (under 26 on Jan 1) and Master (over 50 on Jan 1) Drivers.
