Safe Motorcyclist Training Programme: Building Recognised Skills for Two-Wheeled Mobility [TTOK, Türkiye]

08.03.26

Since 2014, the Safe Motorcyclist Training Programme has equipped over 70,000 users — spanning university students, gig workers, and daily commuters — with safety training, protective gear, and nationally recognised certification. What began as large‑scale equipment distribution evolved into the country’s first state‑recognised vocational qualification for two‑wheeled mobility. By embedding road safety directly into university campuses and aligning civil‑society expertise with national regulation, the initiative transformed voluntary awareness into structured competence. Today, it operates not as a campaign, but as a long‑term behavioural infrastructure that reshapes driving behaviours.
