Born from a civic responsibility movement, this initiative transformed motorcycle couriering from an unregulated gig‑economy activity into a legally recognised "Hazardous Occupation" with state‑guaranteed standards. By pioneering a digitised vocational certification system and revising national training curricula, TTOK elevated protective equipment and certification from voluntary safety tools into mandatory professional credentials for Türkiye’s 750,000+ delivery riders. The project bridges road safety with labour protection, shifting safety from individual choice to collective responsibility.
