Goodyear FIA ETRC Jarama day one round-up: Smith joins Kiss in the Winners’ Club with maiden victory
Bradley Smith went from landing his maiden podium in the Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship to claiming his first outright victory in the series to complete a dream six days.

After finishing second overall at Le Mans last Sunday, Smith led Race 2 at Circuito de Madrid Jarama – RACE this evening from the front to triumph ahead of José Eduardo Rodrigues and local hero Antonio Albacete, who took third.
Smith also banked top Chrome category honours in Race 2 with Lukas Hahn taking second followed by title rivals Mark Taylor and John Newell.
Earlier, eight-time champion* Norbert Kiss scored his 19th win of another hugely impressive season from his 13th pole position of 2026. Jochen Hahn took second with Sascha Lenz finishing third. Lukas Hahn captured Chrome glory in Race 1 ahead of Smith and Newell.

Race 1 winner Norbert Kiss said: “It was a good victory, we had good pace. The start was a bit strange because the green came really late and I barely see the lights anymore because I was so close to the lights, almost underneath. But, okay, we came through, good first turn and start to build the gap a bit. A good race, we were fast, so again, a good job from the team, Révész Racing. The truck was working very nice, everything was nice. We were confident, we had the pace and I pushed a little bit in the first two laps. I see Jochen cannot keep up so it was nice.”
Race 1 Chrome winner Lukas Hahn said: ““It was a really good race. We had a good start and Antonio was in front of me and José behind me. It was good, we had nearly all the same pace so it was hard, so for me it was just to save the position because I was first in Chrome. All was fine, I enjoyed and the truck was really good. It’s really difficult to overtake fair but I needed to watch for the Chrome championship and we are really happy, all was perfect.”

Race 2 overall and Chrome winner Bradley Smith said: ““It’s really good, we had a good start and I managed to hold the lead. Once we got out of there José wouldn’t let me breathe through the whole race. Lap after lap, it was the longest race of my life, but eventually we got it done and I’m really happy. Towards the later part my truck went off a bit because I was pushing so hard at the start and they were putting pressure on me. But it’s quite easy to defend round here so it was good and bad and we managed to hold it. My heartbeat was crazy but it’s the best moment of my career, definitely. To get an FIA win is everyone’s goal when you start truck racing so I’m really happy.”
All drivers are racing with Goodyear’s new-for-2026 tyre, which features 60 per cent sustainable materials, while tomorrow will provide the second opportunity of the season for fans to vote for the Goodyear Wingfoot Award on Instagram during Race 4.
