Kiss eased away from his seventh pole position of the season to win Race 1 ahead of José Eduardo Rodrigues and Sascha Lenz as John Newell celebrated a first Chrome category triumph of the year in fourth overall followed by Lukas Hahn and Bradley Smith.

Lukas Hahn then made full use of the pole position he secured for finishing eighth overall in the day’s opening contest to win Race 2 as Jochen Hahn, the six-time European champion, joined him on the podium for the second time in 2026 after he got the better of his son in Race 3 at the Misano season opener in May. Lukas Hahn also secured the Chrome honours in Race 2 ahead of Newell and defending champion Mark Taylor.

There were other notable performances from Czech hero Adam Lacko, who completed the top five in Race 2, and Steffi Halm, who charged through from 16th to ninth in Race 2 after gearbox failure forced her to retire as she lined up to start Race 1.

Race 1 winner Norbert Kiss said: “A good race for us. For sure not the best start of my life but the braking zone and entry to Turn 1 was good, so I could stay in front clearly and start to build a gap a little bit. Everything worked really well, the truck was consistent, the tyre was good and everything worked very well. I’m so happy with the victory, thank you to the team, Révész Racing. As ever a good job by them. To win a race is never easy. Of course, sometimes you are fast, and you can be a bit more confident, which today for us was the case so you could take it a little bit easy at the end. But, of course, it’s never easy because it’s all about preparation and to stay in front at the start, which is always very difficult.”

Race 2 winner and Race 2 Chrome winner Lukas Hahn (below right with father Jochen left) said: “Pole position and a start-to-finish victory. I’m really happy, the team made a really good job and we had the pace. I see in the start Adam [Lacko] was second and held the field behind him for a long time and for me it was good because I was able to gain a good gap and, in the end, it was enough to hold them. But I could see in the mirror they would come, and I was thinking ‘four laps, three laps, two laps…’, but it was really perfect in the end. Before you have a little bit of pressure but in the end you need to concentrate yourself and we concentrated, and we pushed. I wanted to make no mistakes and be safe. But I also know I cannot go too much slow. In the end it was enough and I’m really happy. Without the team you are nothing, but also the partners and the family, my wife, the kids, you need all of them together. Everyone made a good job and that’s why we could win the race. It’s a double victory and we are very happy with me and my father 1-2. It would be nice for us if it could be more often, but we are working on it.”

Race 1 Chrome winner John Newell said: “We made a little change to the truck to try something, it didn’t work, but we held our position, there was no point fighting with Jochen because we wanted the Chrome points and I’m happy with what we’ve got. Winning Chrome was the objective and I’m not thinking about anything else. It was a good clean start and that was key.”

All drivers are racing with Goodyear’s new-for-2026 tyre, which features 60 per cent sustainable materials, while tomorrow will provide the second opportunity of the season for fans to vote for the Goodyear Wingfoot Award on Instagram during Race 4.
