The Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), the global governing body for motor sport and the federation for mobility organisations worldwide, and the Macau Grand Prix Organising Committee are proud to announce the official list of teams entered for the 2025 FIA Formula Regional World Cup, set to headline this year’s Macau Grand Prix week from 13-16 November.

A carefully-selected field of ten truly international teams will bring together the best regional talent from across the globe to contest the prestigious single-event showdown on the iconic Guia Circuit. The FIA FR concept allows the top regional-level racers competing all over the world to come together and test their talent against one another – it is a tried and tested formula that has cemented the Macau Grand Prix as one of the key proving grounds for young drivers over many decades.

This year’s edition welcomes two major new teams to the event:

  • Trident Motorsport will come to Macau fresh from a stellar 2025 season. In the FIA Formula 3 Championship, Trident’s Rafael Camara clinched the title with one event to spare and finished second in the F3 team’s standings. They are also fighting at the front in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine (FRECA), currently fourth in the standings with three rounds still to go.
  • Van Amersfoort Racing, the highly-respected Dutch team is currently third in the FRECA standings and finished fifth in FIA Formula 3. VAR have been on the podium in Macau before, so expectations will be high for their return this year.

Returning to defend the coveted Macau crown is R-ace GP, who took victory in 2024 with Ugo Ugochukwu who impressively navigated often treacherous conditions over the race weekend. The French squad has maintained top form, sitting first in the current FRECA standings and having finished second in the Formula Regional Middle East Championship earlier this year.

Also returning are some of the strongest contenders from last year’s Macau GP and the wider FR scene:

  • SJM Theodore Prema Racing, the Prema team is currently second in the 2025 FRECA championship and is one of the most successful teams in junior motor sport.
  • Pinnacle Motorsport, who finished third in Macau 2024 and claimed sixth place in the FR Middle East Championship, is sure to challenge for the podium once again.
  • Evans GP, based in Australia return to Macau after a fourth place finish last time out, bringing vital experience from international competition.
  • Saintéloc Racing , the ambitious French team with an increasing presence across single-seater championships.
  • TOM’S Racing, the iconic Japanese team currently leads the FR Japanese championship, certified by FIA. It's an historic name at the Macau Grand Prix, and it is thanks to the FR switch made last year that teams such as these are able to return to do battle with their European counterparts.
  • PHM Racing, the German-based team making waves across Europe and internationally.
  • ART Grand Prix, third-place finishers in the FR Middle East Championship, Certified by FIA, this squad brought Evan Giltaire the FIA FR Drivers’ Championship in 2025 and finished fourth in the 2025 teams’ standings in F3. It will be back racing in Macau to continue its long-standing tradition of nurturing elite talent.

This exceptional lineup reinforces the FIA’s commitment to bringing together the world’s leading junior teams and drivers for the FIA FR World Cup – held on one of the world’s most technically demanding and unforgiving street circuits.

The 2025 FIA FR World Cup takes place during the Macau Grand Prix week from the 13 – 16 of November, which will also feature the FIA F4 World Cup for the first time, making it one of the most prestigious showcases of junior categories single seaters in the world.

The Macau Grand Prix week will be available to watch LIVE and FREE on the FIA YouTube Channel.
